T.I.M.E Legacy Enterprise was created in 2022 to make sure underprivileged teens have a successful transition into adulthood.
Our programs focus on financial literacy, workforce tools and technology support services.
We realize many teenagers and young adults are at a clear disadvantage due to many different factors (socio-economic background, family history, education, etc) plus the lack of available information and a generalized lack of motivation is keeping them from being all they can be and from creating a successful future for themselves.
Our group focuses mainly on teens ages 12-23 and young adults who are transitioning into the market place and adulthood.
As we continue to build awareness to our cause, recruit new volunteers and raise funds we will be adding more mentorship, entrepreneurship training, career exploration, community service, outdoor experiences and any and all relevant resources that we see are needed to support our young people.
All donations go directly to the nonprofit account and will be put into the different programs that we have implemented to help teens in our community, like ride share (transportation to/from work/school), coats for teens, financial literacy workshops, credit building support, etc.
Hello, my name is Shelly Young. I was born and raised in Odessa Texas. I am 51 years old business entrepreneur. My passion for Children is very deep. I have been working with youth a total of 35 years. 15 of which I was owner operator of my own childcare.
After that I opened my commercial cleaning business and held big accounts with Tj, Maxx, Red Robin, Ross, Whole Foods, and Ulta Beauty. I moved to Dallas in 2013 and became a full time nanny. I have now became a full-time foster mom and caretaker of my elderly mom.
I have such a passion for children that I knew I wanted to make a difference in the lives of the young people around me for as long as I can. The best way I could think of doing this was through foster care. We have all heard many terrible stories about foster parents and I knew I could create a loving home for some kiddos out there so I trained for 10 months straight and I can now finally say I’m a foster mom!
While I was training, I learning more and more about how difficult it is for some teens to become successful adults after being thrown into adulthood with no tools and no information, I decided I wanted to create a nonprofit movement for teen Intervention. To help curve the disadvantages in the lives of our young people.
My heart is in the right place and I want to help as many underprivileged teens as possible to have ways to navigate through their everyday life with leveling their chances when things seem impossible. But I cannot do it alone. I need help. I need ALL the help that I can get which is why I created TIME Legacy. I want to do this in an organized and transparent way. Where volunteers could come and support and people with a similar heart for the youth could donate knowing exactly how their funds will be used and how much they are making a difference.
Laziness, a lack of motivation and a lack of information is keeping teens from being all they can be but I am hopeful that we can become the support system to keep some teens from going down an undetermined and unfortunate path.
With love, Shelly
